5G's affect on IoT and fleet management solutions
 

Given that we’ve already built our Metso Metrics IoT and fleet management solution utilizing cellular connectivity, what is the added value that 5G brings including the whole value chain from customer interface, supply chain, product development and services? Ideate new use and business cases that have not been possible with the previous cellular network generations.

Combining Satellite Communications and 5G
 

We would like to better understand the performance, features, and use cases for LEO

constellations in various extreme environments (geographic, use case, technical

 

requirements, installation, weather, ...) and how they can be combined with and

complement 5G connectivity. Naturally, we assume that a multichannel router would be

a good method for combining the networks. Further, we would like to understand how

direct to satellite e.g. non-terrestrial 5G will develop and to which extent it again would

combine with terrestrial networks by multichannel routing and to what extent it might

replace some of the need.

What does the Store of the Future look like?
 

Design a solution for how 5G technology can be utilized in the store of tomorrow. Your answer can include a description of the use case (text), a prototype, illustrations and other images, videos or even can be in the form of a comic strip.

POC Ultrasound and REACTS for Remote Education and Building Teams in the Labor Rooms

More countries are adopting technology and task-shifting/task-sharing to enhance access to quality care during delivery. The availability of POC ultrasound, integrated with the digital partogram and 5G technology, can enable remote specialists to help teams in the labor room to interpret images and the partogram. This will help labor room teams

to be proficient and deliver care that will result in safe childbirth. This reduces maternal and infant mortality and in turn helps resource poor countries meet the SDG.

 

The challenge is to stitch together a solution considering all the components and be sustainable in the long run.
